A guide to all the fashion brands you’ll see at the Tokyo Olympics

[ad_1]

As the Tokyo 2020 + 1 Olympics kicks off on July 23, prepare to spot familiar labels on the world’s most esteemed athletes as they go for gold.

Alongside the sportswear giants (the Nikes, the Asics, the 4Fs), brands like Ralph Lauren and Armani have been designing uniforms for Team USA and Team Italy, respectively, for many years. But for the Tokyo Summer Games, more and more names in the industry are joining the mix, outfitting athletes from all countries.

In particular, there is Telfar, who is sponsoring the Liberian delegation in Tokyo. Fan-favorite rowing blazers played a part in El Salvador’s formal uniforms, designed by local boutique Zótico. Kim Kardashian’s Skims, meanwhile, provide American athletes with all their downtime comforts.

Beyond uniforms, there are many commemorative collections made public by people like BEAMS, Omega, Apple, Richardson, Corckircle and more; Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Skims, Telfar and other designers who have created official equipment for athletes participating in the Games also have their own merchandise for sale.

Below, see the fashion credits you’ll see at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics +1.
