Until August 25, 2021, Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. in Waterbury will welcome donations for their 17e Annual back-to-school âtrade and buyâ ups and downs of school uniforms that will be distributed free or at low cost to low-income children in Greater Waterbury.
The non-profit Acts 4 non-denominational ministry will welcome cash donations as well as new or lightly worn uniform tops in white, blue (any shade), black or gray, and stockings in khaki, navy blue , black and gray. All sizes will be accepted, sizes 6, 8 and larger are especially needed. Particularly needed school supplies include book bags, lunch bags, rulers, files, and writing tools.
Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. is a charitable organization that helps individuals and families who have suddenly lost their homes as a result of fire, flood, or other unexpected or life-altering devastation event. These individuals and families are encouraged to visit the Department’s Acts 4 Thomaston Avenue store to personally select, free of charge, clothing, tableware, glassware, furniture and items to meet other basic needs.
The organization is dedicated to building relationships with people while providing them with the basics of daily living needs. âOur volunteer Acts 4 ministry board, staff members and dozens of volunteers partner with churches, social service agencies and public schools to help identify and serve those with these needs, regardless of their faith, race, creed or national origin, or their willingness to participate in religious activities, âexplained Sarah Elizabeth Carabetta, executive director of Acts 4 ministry.
The Department’s Acts 4 back to school program is one of the not-for-profit organization’s many ongoing programs aimed at distributing resources to families in the area.

Until Monday, August 25, tax-deductible donations can be brought to the Acts 4 ministry offices and the store at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Donations of cash or other tax-deductible donations of money can be mailed in the United States to Acts 4 Ministry, Inc., PO Box 4524, Waterbury, CT 06704 with a note “Back to School drive”.
