Jamal, co-owner of Scruffy Pups Romeh, 41, fromRumney, said: âI am speechless and really happy. We are truly grateful to everyone who nominated us.
âTo be named the UK’s Best Dog Acceptance Company is such an achievement and we are very proud of it. “
âWe knew that many customers had voted, but winning the award is still a shock,â he continued.
âRegulars voted for us on TeamDogs and new visitors found us on TeamDogs – so the two went hand in hand.
âI can’t wait to put the TeamDogs Trophy in our cafe, and the money will be used to build a roof for our outdoor area. “
The converted boxing gym has opened as a locked-out dog cafe, groomers and agility zone – so it hasn’t been fully renovated yet.
Prize money will help owners and friends Jamal and Joanna Sims to finish designing the business of their dreams.
