The Department of Education’s Regional Office 1 (DepEd) received a security seal certification from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in San Fernando City, La Union on January 10, 2022.
Each division, section and functional unit in the DepEd 1 region has undergone a thorough assessment and evaluation before certification is issued.
DILG, Bureau of Fire Protection and Philippine National Police staff conducted a separate inspection at all regional office buildings to demonstrate compliance, as required by the implementation guidelines.
“The security seal itself does not really ensure safety in our workplace, but it is an important marker in gaining the confidence of our client and our staff in the office that we strive to ensure a health safe for everyone,” said regional manager Tolentino Aquino. .
As noted in DoLE-DoH-DILG-DoT-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular 21-01 Series 2021, the Security Seal Certification Program (SSCP) affirms that a facility has been found to meet minimum public health standards ( MPHS) set by the government, including adopting or integrating with the StaySafe.ph contact tracing app.

“Likewise, the safety seal will remind us all to prioritize safety in the work area at all times,” Aquino added after the seal was ceremonially displayed in prominent locations throughout the buildings. from the regional office.
The display of the security seal was led by Local Government Operations Manager Michael John Borja and Administrative Assistant Roger Christian Macalino of DILG, San Fernando City and assisted by Aquino and Deputy Regional Manager Ronald Castillo.
