El Paso’s Orangetheory Fitness collects clothing for Afghan evacuees

Orangetheory Fitness, 6801 N. Mesa St., collects clothing and donations for allies and evacuees from Afghanistan.

Priority items include hijabs, long skirts and long pants for women, long sleeve T-shirts for men, short sleeve T-shirts and long pants. Loose fit is preferable. Priority clothing for children and infants includes lightweight jackets and windbreakers. New underwear for women, men and children is also urgently needed.

The fitness center will be collecting clothing of all sizes through October for allies and evacuees staying at Fort Bliss.

Orangetheory, a West Side fitness studio, collects clothing for Afghan evacuees and their allies.

New items are preferred and lightly used items should be clean before donation. Footwear including shower slip-ons, sandals, walking shoes, and boots of all sizes are required. Shower items, such as hairbrushes, nail clippers, tote bags, gym bags, and pediatric masks are also accepted.

Balls and board games are accepted; however, no other toy can be donated at this time.

Donations must be sorted by type and then dropped off from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Sundays, 5 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Fridays and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
