FOX has announced its college football broadcast lineup, starting with its Week 1 assignments. For the fifth year in a row, Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft will call Big Noon Saturday, the network’s biggest game, every week at noon EST.
However, Johnson, Klatt and Taft’s first posting will be on a Thursday, as they’ll be there when Ohio State faces Minnesota in Minneapolis on September 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Next week, they will travel to Madison for Penn State, Wisconsin.
The trio will be joined on trips to the Midwest by the Big Noon Kickoff team, with host Rob Stone, alongside college football greats Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and Bob Stoops. Big Noon Kickoff is on-site for the first four weeks of the season, adding to the campus vibe and flavor that fans missed during the irregular COVID campaign of 2020.
Play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and former NFL quarterback and NFL analyst Brock Huard announced Illinois’ 30-22 win over Nebraska on Saturday, and will travel to Los Angeles for LSU-UCLA September 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Longtime broadcast partners Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman open their season in Austin, with a Louisiana-Texas battle on September 4 at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
