What Makes a Truly Wisconsin Wedding?

Maybe it’s having a “high life celebrant” marry the couple.
Miller High Life recently announced a partnership with Universal Life Church – which its website describes as a non-denominational religious organization – to launch “The Officiants of High Life” program. It’s a free way for beer lovers to “easily and legally” become a wedding officiant for friends, family or even strangers, according to a press release.
Notable ULC ministers include Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Conan O’Brien and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, according to the organization’s website.
To become an Officiant of High Life, people complete an ordination form at ulc.org/partner/officiants-of-high-life/get-ordained.
Those ordained under the program receive an email declaring them an Officiant of High Life, a license to officiate legal marriages, tips for planning a wedding and a ceremony script for beer lovers, according to a statement. Press.
Be advised: The script includes phrases such as “much loved beer” and “something special brewing,” as well as a “beer unity ceremony,” which involves the couple pouring beers in a shared container. And we expect nothing less.

A limited number of “Officiants of High Life” will also be chosen to receive an exclusive kit, which includes a physical membership card and a limited-edition Miller High Life x Tie Bar ceremonial wear gift set that includes a koozie of leather beer, a “Champagne” silk “of Beers” pocket square and “Girl in the Moon” socks. Kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis until June 15 or while supplies last. , the website said.
