Mom claims son’s Christian school asks to inspect girls’ underwear before homecoming ball

School policies regarding dress codes and other requirements are becoming increasingly controversial as students, especially female students, begin to speak out about how targeted one feels because of their clothing.

But one private school took its dress code a bit too far, according to a mom on Reddit.

A mother claims her son’s private Christian school asked to inspect the girls’ underwear.

“The school my son attends wants to inspect all the girls’ underwear before they go home…” the mom titled her postwhich was shared with a Reddit group dedicated to expressing the maddening things in life.

“My son goes to a private Christian school and I received a notice that before a girl can attend the homecoming, she must have her dress and underwear inspected,” she said. writing.

The post continued with a preview of how the school would get the underwear, “They should send the dress in a bag, with the underwear in a ziplock with the name of ‘the child’, to be inspected by the school.”

Now, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. In 2002, an assistant principal outraged parents when she was caught lifting skirts at a ball.

“I’m not against flip flops” she told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “But when a girl wearing a thong and a short skirt bends over…it exposes her ass.”

The assistant director was never fired because of her tenure. However, the school district demoted her to a teaching position. She was also reassigned to another school.

“It was to make sure what they were going to wear didn’t appeal to boys,” the worried mom continued in the Reddit post.

She also asked a question, “[So] are they insinuating that they are going to show their underwear during [or] after the dance?

There were many users in the comments section who also had their own questions.

One user asked, “Why would I just send them something for free when there are Japanese business people willing to pay hundreds of dollars for it?”

Another user asked, “What pervert at school convinced them this was a good idea?”

One user answered their question in the comments with, “This is a Christian school…so all…”

The mother wondered if she should consult a lawyer.

Many people who post on Reddit are looking for answers to questions they may not have access to. Legal advice is one of those luxuries reserved for those who can afford the high lawyers’ fees.

The mother continued the questions by asking if the school meant that “what they wear [will] make boys unable to control themselves? Why not just send a photo of the dress and underwear? »

“Why is this important? Who the hell is the designated underwear inspector at school? »

“It’s never been done in school before and it’s now the new policy. I don’t know if it’s legal or not, but I think it’s an invasion of privacy and rights of man.
