La Niña may be planning to tone down our summer, but the Australian Open is just around the corner. And now, the official provider of the 2022 Grand Slam is none other than Ralph Lauren. Game, set, match made in heaven.

For the traditional American brand, polo shirts and tennis skirts reign supreme, so it makes sense that the two icons are teaming up for this collaboration.

“Ralph Lauren has defined a distinct sense of style for over 50 years, and their fresh, modern styling perspective is a perfect fit for the Australian Open,” AO tournament director Craig Tigley said in a statement. We couldn’t agree more.

As part of the partnership, Ralph Lauren will dress 4,000 employees in polo shirts, jackets, headwear and accessories in a bright and daring palette inspired by the invigorating energy and playful spirit of the tournament.

The commemorative collection will feature durable materials (including recycled polyester and nylon), along with performance enhancing features, moisture wicking properties and UV protection. Perfect for on and off the pitch.

For those of us not fortunate enough to make it to the open, the collection is available for purchase at Ralph Lauren stores and online.

For those on hand, Ralph Lauren and AO will be hosting a “make your own” pop-up, allowing aficionados and fans to personalize a selection of classic Ralph Lauren styles with specially designed designs of their choice.

As we count the days for the Australian Open to begin on January 17th, we’ll be browsing the Ralph Lauren catalog and looking forward to seeing our favorites including Ash Barty, Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams take to the court.
