Steph Curry Asks The Crypto Community For Advice On Getting Started: Here’s What People Said


Thrice NBA Champion Stephen Curry, who plays the leader for the Golden State Warriors, Tuesday tweeted that he’s “just getting started” in the crypto space and seeking advice.

Curry asked, “I just got started in the crypto game… do you all have any advice?”

Responding to his tweet, Michael saylor, founder and CEO of a software company MicroStrategy Incorporated (NASDAQ: MSTR), tweeted, “Steph, I spent over a thousand hours thinking about this question and I chose Bitcoin. So far I have bought over $ 3 billion in Bitcoin because I think it is there. future of digital property. ”

Last month Saylor announcement in a tweet, his company had purchased an additional 3,907 Bitcoins for around $ 177 million in cash at an average price of $ 45,294 per BTC.

Building up Bitcoin is MicroStrategy’s primary focus, and the company is channeling whatever capital it can amass to pursue it.

Media baron Gary Vaynerchuk also replied to Curry, saying, “50 hours of homework.” What he was actually suggesting to Curry was that it takes 50 hours of homework to enter the crypto space.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom brady replied to Curry and noted, “Whatever you do… don’t laser your eyes!”

Apart from these, other big names in the crypto industry who came to Curry’s aid included Crypto Cobain and Alex Gladstein, director of strategy at the Human Rights Foundation and Bitcoin booster frank.

Notably, financial columnist and ardent crypto critic Francoise Coppola responded at the request of the NBA star with one word: “Don’t do it.”

Curry’s adventure in the crypto market is significant as he recently purchased a Bored Ape Yacht club TVN for 55 Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) or $ 180,000.

Shortly after the purchase, he updated his Twitter profile picture to his monkey.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club consists of 10,000 randomly generated NFTs built on Ethereum, and it is one of the most popular NFTs around. Bored Monkey NFTs have over 170 traits like outfits, headwear, fur, facial expressions, and more.

On Tuesday afternoon, the FTX crypto exchange announced a long-term partnership with Curry. As a Global Ambassador, he will receive a stake in FTX.com and his foundation, Eat.Learn.Play, will partner with the company for charitable initiatives.
