A case of road rage that sent a person to the hospital is being investigated in Oneida County.
Troopers were called to State Route 28 near Bear Creek Road in Forestport for a road rage incident call at approximately 4:37 p.m. on Saturday August 27, 2022.

When police arrived at the scene, they said they found the “driver of a Chevrolet Impala with gunshot wounds following a road rage incident with several motorcyclists”. The male victim, whose name was not officially released at the time, was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital with physical injuries that police described as “not life threatening”.
Witnesses, drivers present in the area at the time of the alleged incident with dash cam footage or anyone with information that may be helpful to the investigation are asked to call the Investigation Office New York State Police Criminal Investigation Department (BCI) at: (315) 366.6000.
The NYSP says the investigation is continuing.
