Winter clothing required at Center Damiano

DULUTH, Minn.- The seasons are changing, which means more and more people are in need of winter clothing. And the Damiano Center in Duluth is asking for help.

Center Damiano hosts its annual Community Connect event, inviting those looking for winter clothing and additional resources.

“It’s hosted here at the Damiano Center, but it’s a community-wide planned event, so it will be 10 to 2, and there will be all kinds of winter coats available for people, winter clothing, and then it’s ‘We’ll also have a tenure resolution,’ said executive director Seth Currier.

The event takes place October 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but the community center actively accepts clothing donations.

As temperatures continue to drop, winter boots and underwear are in high demand at the Damiano Center.

“It is difficult for a lot of people, and we are – we are working as hard as possible to ensure that we can provide people with the things they need in the safest way for them and for all people. involved, ”said Currier.

The Community Connect event will also provide COVID vaccines, housing options and several other resources.

The Damiano Center accepts donations from Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
